How to reach Agriturismo Montereggi By Car

From Rome - A1 motorway

Exit  at Firenze Sud; follow the signs for Fiesole; in Fiesole's main square (Piazza Mino) turn left at the roundabout and take the small road behind the cathedral called Via Dupré; drive down to the end of this road (about 3 Kms) and turn right into Via Faentina (road # 302); drive for 3 Kms past the villages of Pian di Mugnone and Caldine; just  after the end of Caldine (road sign on your left), sign on the left ("LA FABBRICA"): turn right into Via Santa Maria Maddalena (total distance from A1 exit about 17 Km).

From Bologna  - A1 motorway

Exit at Barberino di Mugello; follow the signs for Barberino di Mugello and Borgo S. Lorenzo; 2 kms past "Cafaggiolo" (an imposing Medici Villa on your right) there is a roundabout: follow the sign for Via Faentina (road 302), drive through a tunnel and keep driving until  the end of this road, at the junction turn right into Via Faentina in the direction of Florence. After about 16 Kms, at the sign LA FABBRICA (on your right), turn left into Via Santa Maria Maddalena (distance from A1 exit about 35 Km).

From Florence city centre - A11 motorway or Florence airport (distance from 10 to 16 Km depending where you start)

Reach via Bolognese (Road # 65) and drive up hill for about 2.5 Kms. When you get to "Il Cionfo" turn right into Via Salviati ( there are signs for the stadium and Fiesole); at the end of this road there is a crossroads: turn left and drive past Pian di Mugnone and Caldine. At "LA FABBRICA" (sign on the left), turn right into Via Santa Maria Maddalena.

The closest railway station is "Fiesole/Caldine" (about 1 kmsaway). You can catch the direct regional train to Fiesole/Caldine from Florence central station “Santa Maria Novella”. From the station of Caldine you can get Agriturismo Montereggi on foot or take bus # 21 or bus # 45, direction north, and get off at the bus stop called “La Fabbrica”.

By Bus (Autolinee toscane: https://www.at-bus.it)

From Santa Maria Novella station (Florence central station) it is possible to reach Agriturismo Montereggi by  bus (Bus # 1 and Bus # 21).  Take bus # 1 and get off at the stop “Madonna della Querce”, then at the same bus stop take  bus# 21 and  get off at the next to last bus stop called “La Fabbrica”.

From Florence Airport A. Vespucci - Peretola (http://www.aeroporto.firenze.it/it)

From “Peretola” airport take the bus "Volainbus" and get off at Santa Maria Novella train station in central Florence. From here follow the instructions above (by train). From the airport you can also take a taxi to Caldine (about 15 kms). Ask the taxi driver to take you to Caldine, 500 metres past Caldine, at “La Fabbrica” (road sign on your left), turn right into Via S. M. Maddalena.
